BSNL’s mega plan: Government telecom company’s plan to install 1.12 lakh towers for 4G roll out, internet will be available in trains after 5G network


New Delhi2 hours agoBharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is planning to install around 1.12 lakh towers across the country for the roll out of indigenous 4G network. Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav gave this information in Lok Sabha. At the same time, he said about internet connection inside trains that it can be available only when 5G network starts, because 4G technology disrupts communication in trains running at a speed of 100 kmph.Indian engineers developed 4G network mega plan
He said during the Question Hour, “I am happy to inform you that the 4G telecom network is ready to roll out soon. It has been developed by Indian engineers and scientists in India. Our 4G network development is being praised all over the world. It has a core network, a radio network with complete telecommunications equipment”.5G technology will be ready in a few months
The minister said that BSNL is in the process of placing orders for 6,000 and then 6,000 more towers for 4G network immediately. After this, one lakh towers will be installed across the country. He also told that the development of 5G technology is also going on and it will be ready in a few months.

More towers need to be connected with fiber for 5G success Further, Vaishnav pointed out that telecom service providers are fiberizing their Base Transceiver Stations (BTSs) installed on mobile towers. 7,93,551 BTSs are connected by optical fiber. This number is very less as compared to the total number of mobile towers in the country. For 5G success and a better 4G experience, more towers need to be connected by fiber.
